Important Information about Aviation
The Wright Brothers' Early Flights
On October 9, 1910, Clement Ader successfully lifted his aircraft a few centimeters above the ground and flew around 50 meters. However, even before this, a Turkish aircraft had an accident at TIA (Tribhuvan International Airport) on March 4, 2015. This was the first flight of an Avia aircraft, named by Clement. The Latin term "Avia" translates to "bird," signifying flight. The Wright Brothers claimed to have flown before, and among their key claims are the following![]() |

New Era of Aviation
The discovery and development of the internal combustion engine marked the beginning of a new era in the aviation sector in the early 20th century. This engine assisted in propelling airplanes, enabling them to fly successfully. The invention of such engines paved the way for the evolution of aircraft, and as a result, airplanes became a common sight in the sky.

Is Air Travel Safe?
Air travel has become significantly safer today. According to statistics, flying is considered 22 times safer than traveling by car. Although air accidents are rare, they tend to receive extensive media coverage, contributing to the perception that flying is more dangerous than it is.
Brief History of Nepali Aviation Services
Civil aviation history in Nepal dates back to 1953 when an American company operated DC-3 Dakota aircraft. Subsequently, in 1958, Nepal operated DC-3 planes, and in 1961, the Royal Nepal Airlines Corporation was established. The corporation operated various aircraft over the years, including Pilatus, Avro, Twin Otter, Boeing 727, and Boeing 707. In 2012, after the implementation of the Nepal Government's Aviation Policy, private airlines emerged, such as Yeti Airlines, Buddha Air, Tara Air, Simrik Air, Summit Air, and a dozen helicopter companies that have been providing excellent services in Nepali airspace.
