The famous Nijgadh International Airport is also going to be built near Nijgadh. The construction of this airport is expected to further boost the development of this area.

Nijgadh's challenge

Among the devotees going to Bara district's Gadhimai Mela, those going to Nijgadh also face difficulties. Most devotees go there and do not stay there. If hotels with facilities cannot be built in Nijgadh, there is a strong possibility of staying in Kathmandu, an hour away from Nijgadh, through the air and land route. Even after returning, there is a strong possibility of staying in Nijgadh, an hour away from Kathmandu.

If people who come and go through Nijgadh International Airport can stay in Nijgadh for at least one day, it will greatly contribute to the economic development of Nijgadh. For this reason, Nijgadh Municipality is planning to organize an investment summit to build tourist infrastructure. Facilities such as hotels and restaurants for both domestic and foreign tourists, as well as tourist sites such as cable cars, Ganeshman Park, and Hiralal Park, as well as the construction of a water drinking place from the Parsa National Park, are needed. To face this challenge, Nijgadh Municipality has started developing Ganeshman Park and Hiralal Park as tourist destinations.
